Tiruchirappalli, June 3, 2025 – The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, has released the NIMCET Admit Card 2025 today, June 3, 2025, at 10 AM. Candidates can now download their hall tickets from the official website, nimcet.admissions.nic.in. The NIMCET 2025 exam is scheduled for June 8, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM. This national-level entrance test is for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program at various NITs and IIITs across India.
What is NIMCET?
NIMCET stands for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test. It is conducted annually by one of the NITs on a rotational basis. This year, NIT Tiruchirappalli is organizing the exam. The test offers admission to MCA programs at 10 NITs, including Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli, and Warangal, as well as IIIT Bhopal. Around 50,000 students apply each year for approximately 805 seats.
Revised Admit Card Release Date
The NIMCET Admit Card 2025 was initially set to be released on May 29, 2025. However, NIT Tiruchirappalli postponed the release to June 3, 2025. Candidates can download the hall ticket until June 8, 2025, at 12 noon. The admit card is available only online. No physical copies will be sent by post.
How to Download NIMCET Admit Card 2025
Follow these simple steps to download the admit card:
- Visit the official website: nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
- Click on the “Download Admit Card” link under the Latest News section.
- Log in using your registered User ID (email ID) and password.
- Verify the details displayed on the admit card.
- Download and save the hall ticket as a PDF.
- Take a clear printout on a laser printer for exam day.
Candidates who forget their login credentials can use the “Forgot Password” or “Forgot User ID” option. They need to provide their registered email ID or phone number to reset their details.
Exam Day Instructions
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the NIMCET Admit Card 2025 to the exam centre. Along with the admit card, a valid photo ID proof is mandatory. Acceptable IDs include:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Driving License
- School ID or any government-approved ID
Without these documents, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Personal belongings like calculators, mobile phones, or electronic devices are strictly prohibited. Candidates should reach the exam centre at least one hour before the reporting time to avoid last-minute issues.
NIMCET 2025 Exam Details
The NIMCET 2025 exam will be a computer-based test (CBT). It will last for two hours and consist of 120 multiple-choice questions. The questions cover four subjects:
- Mathematics
- Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning
- Computer Awareness
- General English
The exam will be held in English only. Negative marking applies, with one mark deducted for each wrong answer. The test will be conducted across 31 cities in India. If a centre does not have enough candidates, it may be cancelled, and the next preferred centre will be allotted.
