AP EAMCET Result 2025
The AP EAMCET 2025, also known as AP EAPCET, was conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. The Engineering stream exams took place from May 21 to May 27, 2025. The Agriculture and Pharmacy stream exams were held on May 19 and 20, 2025. The results were announced earlier than the expected date of June 14, 2025, bringing relief to lakhs of students.
In the Engineering stream, 1.89 lakh students qualified, with a pass percentage of 71.65%. In the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams, 67,761 students passed, achieving an impressive 89.8% pass rate. The rank list was prepared based on 75% weightage from the EAMCET exam and 25% from Class 12 board marks. Students needed at least 25% (40 out of 160 marks) to qualify. Those scoring below this threshold were not assigned ranks.

Rank Card and Counselling Process
The AP EAMCET 2025 rank card is crucial for the counselling process. It includes details like the candidate’s name, marks, rank, and qualifying status. Students must verify all details on the rank card. Any errors should be reported to the authorities immediately. The rank card is mandatory for document verification during counselling.
Counselling for admissions into 322 participating colleges will begin in July 2025, tentatively. It will cover courses like Engineering, Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, B.Pharmacy, and more. The process includes registration, fee payment, document verification, web options entry, and seat allotment. The Department of Technical Education (DTE) and APSCHE will conduct the counselling jointly. Cutoff ranks for each round will be released, showing opening and closing ranks for different colleges.
Normalisation and Qualifying Marks
As the exam was held in multiple sessions, a normalisation process was used to ensure fairness. Normalised marks account for differences in difficulty levels across sessions. For General and OBC candidates, the qualifying mark is 25% of the total score, or 40 out of 160. There are no minimum qualifying marks for SC and ST candidates, but their admissions are limited to reserved seats. If a candidate’s normalised marks in any subject become negative, those marks are treated as zero.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case of a tie in combined scores, the following criteria are used to determine ranks:
- Total normalised marks in AP EAMCET 2025.
- Marks in Mathematics (for Engineering) or Biology (for Agriculture/Pharmacy).
- Marks in Physics.
- Percentage of marks in Class 12 exams.
- Date of birth (older candidate gets preference).
If the tie persists, candidates are given the same rank.
What’s Next for Students?
Qualified students should prepare for the counselling process. They must keep their rank cards, admit cards, and educational documents ready. The official notification for counselling will be released soon on the APSCHE website. Students can also check last year’s cutoff ranks to estimate their chances of admission into top colleges. For example, a rank of 17,695 in the BC-D category was sufficient for a CSE seat at VVIT last year.
Official Announcements and Reactions
The results were announced by SET Chairman and JNTUK Vice-Chancellor CSRK Prasad at the JNTUK BC Conference Hall.
